Seattle Sitaara’s board consists of student leaders who plan and execute an annual collegiate Indian classical dance competition and all associated programming. Board members oversee everything from logistics and hospitality to marketing, finance, and external affairs.
Board members serve from Fall through Spring of the academic year.
Board members are chosen through an application and interview process.
The board meets weekly and members are expected to stay actively engaged in planning, committee work, and event-weekend execution.

Each competing team at Laasya 2026 is paired with a liaison, who serves as their primary point of contact. Liaisons ensure smooth communication, assist with logistics, and help teams navigate competition weekend.
Liaisons are trained volunteers selected through an application process. Many are dancers or students with experience in Indian classical arts or event management, but is not required!

A mandatory training session
Full availability on Feb 20–21, 2026
Occasional pre-event check-ins with their assigned team

Seattle Sitaara invites highly respected Indian classical dance artists and teachers from the Seattle community to adjudicate Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Odissi, Kathak, and more.
Judges will be revealed on our Instagram closer to show day.
